Customer Reviews: Uncomfortable and flimsy December 4, 2009 Skuzz Skuzzleton (Colorado) This was my first attempt at buying chairs online sight-unseen, and it will unfortunately be my last.
I previously have used various office chairs and upgraded them to massage pads and such, the massage pads normally had hard plastic boxes containing the massage motors, which made them uncomfortable.
I assumed having the massage units built into the chair would make it more comfortable, I was incorrect.
Instead I now own two chairs with built in massage boxes that poke into my legs when I sit in my chair. I've tried to pad them with towels, pillows, etc. to no avail. The backrest is also rather stiff due to the same situation with the massage boxes located in the back and a lack of padding around them.
The armrests on this chair are uncomfortable for elbows. The curved taper makes it hard to find a good place to rest one's arms.
Finally, when I was leaning back in the chair one day I heard a *CRACK* noise in the headrest. I'm not sure what started breaking but the chair is still mostly intact and I don't lean back in them anymore.
On the plus side, the massage unit works well aside from the leg and back discomfort, has a variety of massage modes, the chairs were easy to assemble and having a built-in rechargeable battery pack means I don't have to dangle a power cord from the chair when the massage unit is turned on.
I've managed to get used to the chair overall, mainly because it's less a hassle adapting to it rather than returning it, but I definitely will not be buying such a model chair ever again, nor will I be buying one online without first testing it in real life.
Bummer.
